Compensation Overview
The Parsonex Referral Network offers two participation models based on the nature of the relationship.
of first-year advisory fees.
recurring advisory fee share for the duration of the client relationship, subject to the Promoter Agreement.
Flat referral fee structure.
Customized by partnership agreement.
Specific compensation schedules are maintained separately within the Compensation Guide.
How you are paid
You are paid as the fee is earned.
Parsonex bills advisory fees quarterly, in advance. The fee is earned month by month across that quarter, and your share is paid the same way: monthly, in the first pay cycle after the month in which it is earned.
Payments are made by direct deposit (ACH) to the account you designate in writing. Your Promoter Agreement and the Compensation Guide govern in all cases.
One introduction, over five years.
Assumes a client with $1,000,000 in advisory assets at a 1.00% annual advisory fee, a relationship that continues for five years, and no change in assets or fee.

How the Parsonex Referral Network is compensated: required disclosure
- Compensation
- Parsonex Advisory Services compensates Referral Network participants when a person they introduce becomes an advisory client of Parsonex, on the terms set out in the executed Promoter Agreement and Compensation Guide. Compensation is calculated only on the advisory-fee portion of the client's account, is paid by Parsonex, and is never charged to the client. The Program is operated under and subject to the SEC Marketing Rule (Rule 206(4)-1 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940).
- This creates a conflict of interest
- Because a participant is compensated for a successful introduction, they have a financial incentive to introduce prospective clients to Parsonex rather than to another adviser that might also be suitable. Where the compensation is ongoing and based on client assets, there is an additional incentive to encourage the client to place more assets with Parsonex. This conflict is disclosed in writing to every person introduced, at the time of the introduction.
- Client vs. non-client status
- Each disclosure states plainly whether the person making the introduction is themselves a Parsonex advisory client. An introduction by a current client is a testimonial; an introduction by someone who is not a client is an endorsement. This is disclosed because a person's own client relationship can affect how their introduction should be weighed.
- No added cost to the client
- A person introduced to Parsonex will not pay a higher advisory fee as a result of the referral than they would otherwise pay under Parsonex's standard fee schedule. The participant's compensation is paid by Parsonex out of advisory fees it already receives. It is not an additional charge to the client.
Frequently Asked Questions
Getting started
No. The Parsonex Referral Network is not an investment advisory role and does not require participants to provide investment advice or recommendations. Promoters serve as trusted introduction partners whose role is simply to connect prospective clients with the Parsonex advisory team.
All investment recommendations, suitability determinations, and advisory services are performed exclusively by authorized Parsonex professionals.
Absolutely. Organizations such as CPA firms, law firms, insurance agencies, mortgage companies, and other professional offices may participate through our Office/Institution Partnership model.
In addition, individual professionals within your office or professional network may also choose to participate independently through the Individual Promoter model, subject to program eligibility and compliance approval.
Our goal is to complete the Promoter onboarding process within 5–7 business days for qualified applicants.
Approval timelines may vary depending on the completeness of the application, required documentation, and compliance review. If additional information is needed, our team will work directly with you to keep the process moving efficiently.
No. The Parsonex Referral Network is designed around trusted introductions, not sales. Your role is to identify individuals or businesses who may benefit from professional wealth management and investment advice, and connect them with Parsonex. Our advisors are responsible for all recommendations and client engagement.
Referrals and tracking
Every referral submitted through the Parsonex Referral Network is securely recorded within the Parsonex technology platform.
Once submitted, referrals are tracked throughout the client onboarding process, allowing for accurate attribution, transparent status updates, and compensation tracking in accordance with the Promoter Agreement.
Referral attribution is maintained for the duration of the client relationship with Parsonex, subject to the terms of the applicable agreement.
Yes. Approved Promoters receive access to the Promoter Portal, where they can monitor the status of submitted referrals throughout the onboarding process.
Depending on your role and permissions, the portal will also provide access to information such as:
- Referral status
- Client onboarding progress
- Compensation activity
- Payment history
- Program resources
- Activation materials
- Important announcements and support resources
Access to client information is limited to what is appropriate for the Promoter's role and complies with applicable privacy and regulatory requirements.
Once you submit a referral, the Parsonex team takes it from there.
Our advisors and client service professionals will contact the prospective client, guide them through the discovery and onboarding process, determine whether our services are an appropriate fit, and, if appropriate, begin the advisory relationship.
Throughout the process, you'll be able to monitor the progress of your referral through the Promoter Portal, giving you visibility into where each introduction stands without requiring you to participate in the advisory process.
Parsonex works with individuals, families, and business owners seeking professional wealth management and long-term investment advice. During onboarding, you'll receive guidance on identifying ideal referral opportunities and recognizing when an introduction may provide meaningful value to your clients.
Compensation
You are paid as the advisory fee is earned, once the client is onboarded and any required compliance review is complete.
Parsonex bills advisory fees quarterly, in advance, and the fee is earned month by month across that quarter. You are paid monthly, in the first pay cycle after the month in which your share is earned.
Payments are made by direct deposit (ACH) to the account you designate in writing. Eligibility requirements and processing are covered during onboarding, and your Promoter Agreement and the applicable compensation schedule govern.
No. There is no additional cost to a prospective client simply because they were introduced through a Promoter. Any advisory fees are determined through the normal client engagement process and are not increased as a result of the referral relationship.
